Facebook Live Replay 30th June 2020 – This was ‘Interesting’! And I mean INTERESTING! I have had a couple of issues with keeping the WiFi Signal running at the start of some of my Tuesday Coffee and Card Facebook Live events, but this week was just silly. Four times I had to try to get the signal to run, the last time I gave up and decided to wire up my WebCam again. This had not been very successful when I tried it before, but this time, at least that was stable.
Partly because of the issues with the WiFi, I only showcased two cards this week, but I am really pleased with both of them, especially the Walk in The Woods one. The focal image for this card is coloured with a ‘few’ Stampin’ Blends. It is actually quite an easy image to colour, but you do need to have the courage of your convictions for a while.
To begin with some of the colouring will look random scribbles, especially the grass. Just keep going and it will come together. The stamp does a lot of the work for you, you simply need to bring the image to life.
My other card used one sheet of paper from the Flowers for Every Season Designer Series Paper, not only for the mat, but also for the large Sunflower that is next to the sentiment. I fussy cut the flower from the paper, which was actually pretty simple to do as it is cut from a tone on tone piece, so no one will know if you go a little wonky! The sentiment is from Ridiculously Awesome and is heat embossed in white and then, you guessed it, fussy cut!
To finish the card off I added both the flower and the sentiment with Dimensionals and then scattered a few Rhinestones around them, such a small touch can make a huge difference to the finished card.
Now, if you are feeling brave, why not take a look at the replay of the Facebook Live? I hope it is not too bad. You may see that I only added the first and last takes, so it should be reasonably OK. I have added an introduction to set the scene. Let me know what you think. And remember to Subscribe, Like and Comment while you are there.
So, was it as bad as it felt at the time? Do let me know so I can try to improve next week.
