Top Tip Tuesday – All Things Fabulous 3-Step Stamping. I hope you are all keeping well and enjoying your week so far. Today I am playing with the All Things Fabulous Stamp Set and thought I would go through my thoughts on how to layer the stamps up. We have had 2-Step Stamping for a while, but I think this is the first 3-Step stamping set.
When I first spotted them in the new Annual Catalogue, it was love at first sight, and I was lucky enough to be gifted the set recently. I do still need to get the matching dies, but suspect they will be added to an order very soon! I have always liked these type of layered stamp, so was thrilled when I spotted them, and now I get to play with them.
There are 2 ways to deal with these type of stamp. You can either use your clear blocks and simply line them up carefully as you stamp each one in place. Or you can use the Stamparatus and simply line up each stamp once, but then stamp lots of card fronts one after the other. In today’s video I show both and my top, top tip for making using blocks with this set super easy.
My absolute Top Tip for lining up any multi layer stamp is to start with the darker image and build back from there. You may think this is odd, but I find that if you stamp the darkest image first, when you ink up the next stamp you are more likely to be able to see the dark image through the paler ink on your stamp. Trying to see an image stamped with Blushing Bride through a stamp inked up with Merry Merlot is just too hard.
If you use the Stamparatus you also have the added advantage of being able to re-stamp any image that did not stamp cleanly the first time. This is SO much easier with the Stamparatus than trying to line up a stamp on a block. I can pretty much guarantee that the latter will not be perfect. Of course that could just be me!
