Posted For You Bundle #SimpleStamping Saturday plus One! Yesterday was such a mad day, so I missed posting this!! I launched my Retired Designer Series Paper Packs and my inbox went into melt down! I spent most of yesterday printing labels and packing postage boxes. If you are interested in these, there are still a VERY few left, so take a look at THIS POST for all the details.
So, today is more of a #SimpleStamping Sunday! But I hope it was worth the wait. I am using the Posted for You Bundle, which is just so cute and great for so many different occasions. The stamp set is great, but the Rectangle Postage Stamp Punch is AMAZING. I can see myself using this for lots of projects, not just those using the bundled stamp set.
Quick and Simple
My first card uses Stampin’ Write markers (all from the Brights Family of Colours) to both colour the background and the details of the stamp. I decided the main image could get lost. so drew a rectangle around it with a Basic Black Stampin’ Write Marker, which is the only one available as a single. It is useful for so many things. The background is simply lines drawn with the Flirty Flamingo and Mango Melody Markers. Don’t worry too much about being straight or accurate, that is not the look I was going for.
Casual
To step the card up a little, I have added some coloured card and some pattern paper, and it is the patterned paper that was the inspiration for the stripes on the previous version. Can you see now why I said there was not need to be straight or even with the lines? I have also added in the Rectangle Postage Stamp Punch, which is available at a discount if you buy it Bundled with the Posted For You Stamp Set. It is also available FREE if you take advantage of the amazing Starter Kit Offer that is available until the end of this month. Until the end of June you can add ANY Stamp and Punch, or Die Bundle to your starter kit FREE. Don’t miss out!
I added some heat embossing and Stampin’ Blends to this version of the card, as well as a length of the Forever Greenery Ribbon Combo. I undid the twist in the gold thread to get the separate strands. This is such an easy way to step up a project.
Avid
For my final version I added in some Gold Foil and some additional Die Cutting. The Die cut is from the Stitched Rectangle Dies, double cut to get the right size. A wonderful and not complicated technique to master. Maybe a Top Tip Tuesday Soon?
As well as the foil behind the stamped and coloured image (which is the same as the Casual version), I added narrow strips either side of the Designer Series Paper. I simply ran a strip of Tear & Tape to the back of a piece 6″ long and then trimmed it so that the tape was cut in half, so about 1/8″. These are easy enough to add and trim to size, but the finished effect is a real step up.
