Forever Fern for The Spot Colour Challenge. Welcome to my second post of the day. As it is Tuesday, it is time for another The Spot Challenge. This week it a colour challenge and is another of our ‘choose 3 or all’ challenges, so I have chosen ALL for my inspiration piece. I really wasn’t sure about the colour combo until started playing, but once I got started it all just came together. I wanted to have some softness on the card, so knew I would want to add some vellum, but didn’t want to use plain white. Easy answer, colour it with Stampin’ Blends. In this case I went for the dark Flirty Flamingo. Blends are so easy to to use to colour vellum, you do need to leave the ink to dry for a short while, but only a few moments.
I knew that Rich Razzleberry could over power the card if I was not careful, so I used it as a feature colour for the sentiment and a couple of layers. Just those few peeks of the bold colour makes such a difference to the card
For me the real star of this card, and I think more than a few to come, are the clear Elegant Faceted Gems. These are different from any of our other ‘clear’ gems because they are actually CLEAR, rather than mirrored. It means you can use them on any card and they will just add some sparkle. I think a few more pack may be in order!
The new Lovely Labels Pick A Punch is amazing for smaller sentiments, and so quick to use, no need for a Die Cutting Machine, so great for crafting on the go too. Again, I used Rich Razzleberry as the backing layer for the sentiment, which was stamped in Rich Razzleberry. To make the card a little extra special, I added some splatters of Wink Of Stella, a really easy was to add a little ‘something’.

I really hope you have a go at entering the Challenge this week. To remind you, there is a link to the Challenge site in the picture of the Colour Challenge at the top of the page, just click on the image to go to the page. Good Luck!
