#SimpleStamping Saturday meets Baker’s Boxes. Welcome to another #SimpleStamping Saturday project. This may be the last one with retiring products because the nearer we get to 2nd June, the more items are sold out. As I try to plan ahead (in my dreams at the moment!), I need to know that the items I use are still available for you to buy. How dreadful would it be for me to feature an item you like, only to find that it is sold out when you go to order it?
So this week I am looking at the Delightful Day Tags Stamp Set and the Tags & More Accessory Kit. If you are making a tag, you really need something to tie it to, so I have added the Baker’s Boxes, which are also retiring. The kit is so easy to use, you just need to add the stamp set and ink, everything else is in the kit. For my #SimpleStamping version I just stamped the sentiment in matching Terracotta Tile ink onto one of the labels and then added it to the tag base with some Dimensionals. Tying Twine around the Baker’s Box is really simple (especially if you have 3 hands!), so your project is ready to go in no time at all. Oh, and the Baker’s Boxes are food safe, so why not use it for some home naked goodies and drop it in to a neighbour?
My first stepped up version adds some coordinating Designer Series Paper to the Baker’s Box. I cut the top to 4 x 4″ (10 x 10cm), gutted a 3 x 3″ (7.5 x 7.5cm) window and then stuck it on the box top with Multi Purpose Liquid Adhesive. As the box is slightly shiny, the Liquid Adhesive is a better choice than Snail, which may not be quite strong enough. The sides are cut at 4 x 2″ 910 x 5cm) and the finger hole is cut with a 1″ Circle Punch (also on the Retiring List). I used the Blackberry Bliss tag elements for this version, so used the matching ink and paper.
Now, the Avid Version is more time consuming than difficult. Most of the time was because I wanted to pick the Clear and Gold sequins from the Peaceful Poppies Sequins. Yes I am that sad! The paper is done in the same way as for the previous version. I added Foam Adhesive Strips behind/on the inside of the window of the Baker’s Box. Then I added the sequins and lay a piece of Noble Peacock Foil cut to 4 x 4″ (10 x 10cm) on top, so the foil would face the Window. The Tag elements I used for this version are Coastal Cabana and Pretty Peacock, but I chose to use Bermuda Bay for the extra items. The tag is stamped and embossed using the ‘any colour embossing’ technique I have shared a couple of times.
If you enjoyed today’s projects why not give them a go. I would certainly encourage you to get the Baker’s Boxes before they sell out (assuming they are still available!)
