Lovely You Subtle or Bright? You Decide! I am going to be a little unkind again today and use a new stamp set. This is the Lovely You set, which you can Bundle with the Lovely Label Pick a Punch, saving 10% on each product (just remember to use the Bundle Code).
Subtles Version
The version I made before I recorded the video uses colours from the Subtles Colour Family. I specifically used Soft Sea Foam, So Saffron and Petal Pink with Smoky Slate for the sentiment and mat. I paired it with Champagne Foil to pick up on the warmer tones of the So Saffron and Petal Pink. You will see in the video how I built up the pattern, which is really pretty straightforward. The finishing touches are a few Pearls, just for a little ‘something’.
Brights Version
In the video I swapped out the Subtle colour for a much brighter selection. This time I used Granny Apple Green, Mango Melody and Melon Mambo, with Gorgeous Grape for the sentiment and mat. I also switched to using Stampin’ Write Markers to get the two colours on one stamp. This is much easier than using the ink pads, but you do need to ‘huff’ on the ink just before you stamp. I switched out the Champagne Foil for the wonderful new Brass Foil. I hope the photo below shows just how shiny it is.
In the video I compare this against the Gold and Copper; it is really quite different, with more of a Mirror finish. Just remember to wear your sunglasses when you watch the start of the video the foil is really, really shiny!
So, the heading of this post asks a question. Lovely You Subtle or Bright? Which do you prefer? Please tell me either in the comments below or on the video. Please let me know.
