Facebook Live Tuesday 5th May 2020 – Replay. I am really beginning to enjoy doing my Coffee & Card Facebook Live sessions. Not saying that I wasn’t enjoying them before, but I did need to get around a few technical issues, so the learning curve did take a while. Happily things seem to be settling down and I have even trained my husband not to have a Zoom call at the same time so the WiFi is not too stretched.
This week my Coffee & Card projects were all using elements from the Stampin’ Up! Giveback product, #sharesunshine. There is more information on this further down this post. I am loving playing with it, it is just perfect for the mad world we are currently working in.
My first project is super quick. Just print of the sheet and die cut it. Colour it if you want (which I did), but you could just add it to a card base and be done. There is a version in colour too, so if you want colour but don’t want to do the colouring, no problem.
My next card is some more fun, using the Retiring On to Adventure stamp set. I think it is perfect for the sentiment, do you agree? The ‘tricks’ on this card are the Pumpkin Pie punched element (watch the video for how I did that).
There is another little trick, which I have shared before. The the Mango Melody inking behind the Yoga Lady, which uses a surprise ‘extra’ (again you need watch the video for that) is worth looking at.
My final card uses another sentiment from the #sharesunshine Covid-19 Giveback and I have paired it with Enjoy Life, yet another stamp set of mine that is waving us a fond farewell.
No ‘tricks’ on this one, but certainly a quick card to put together and one that I will be making lots of and sending out to lots of my friends and family.
In the meantime, I am in the process of making cards for a village initiative. We are hoping to put together at least 200 Car Packages for local front-line workers and want to include a Thank You card in each of them. Quick cards is definitely the order of the day, as is using up some retiring DSP! I should add that there are only 800 of us in the village, so putting 200 parcels together is quite a challenge, but knowing the residents, we will get there somehow. If I remember, I will let you know how we get on during the next Facebook Live.
