Bird Ballad Thank You for Kylie. I am not sure if I have mentioned this on my website before, or if I only shared this on Social Media, there was a major event in the village this weekend.
First some background to the weekend.
The original plan for this weekend was for the village to come together and celebrate the 75th Anniversary of Victory in Europe. We had a whole day of celebration planned, but of course, that all had to be cancelled. BUT a wonderful group of ladies got together and arranged that we would put Care Packages together fro some of our Local Heroes. The aim was for 200 Packs. They wanted handmade Thank You cards for every package, so I volunteered to make a bunch.
Well, I got carried away and made about 170. They accepted them all, but warned me that they will probably let me have some back. Well, as it was, the response from the village was such that they not only needed all my cards, but needed a couple more. Instead of 200 packs, they had enough for an amazing 335!!!
Today’s cards show the new cards I put together for the final couple of packs. I have used Bird Ballad Designer Series Paper and some other items that are retiring, such as the Glimmer Paper.
I have just realised that the title of this post, Bird Ballad Thank You for Kylie, is all very well, but why Kylie? Well I have made this card as part of a blog hop I am part, that is run by the lovely Kylie Bertucci. That is why I have used the ‘Scrappy Strip’ Technique that Bruno used a few months ago, and is now sweeping the Stampin’ Up! world. You see there is some, not much, but some planning in most of what I do!
I am on a mission to use up as much as I can before the new catalogue goes live, so keep your eyes peeled for more projects with Retiring items. Now, why not hop along and see all the other wonderful projects that the group has to offer. I know there will be some new products being used too.
