#SimpleStamping Saturday – Free as a Bird. I have a really special selection of cards for you today. They are just so pretty and I am loving them. As ever for #SimpleStamping Saturday, I have taken one design and made it so it is Quick and Simple, ideal for a beginner. I have then stepped it up so it is more appropriate for a Casual Crafter and then for an Avid Crafter.
The Quick and Simple version uses one of our Note Cards and Envelopes, a couple of stamps, using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I coloured the images with our larger set of Watercolour Pencils and then finished the colouring with a Blender Pen. It took very little time to finish the card off, but it is so beautiful. As always with #SimpleStamping Saturday, I have also stamped on the envelope.
The first stepped up version brings in the really pretty Bird Ballad Lase Cut Note Cards and Envelopes. These are actually more of a Very Vanilla, but by adding some Designer Series Paper, that includes some white, behind the front panel, using Whisper White card for my stamping is really not an issue. I still used Tuxedo Black ink as I switched my colouring medium to Stampin’ Blends. This is the ideal ink for these markers. I fussy cut the image this time and matted it onto a Pool Party Delightful Tag Topper layer. This meant I could easily add some ribbon to this layer. All finished with some Adhesive Sequins for a really cute project.
The next version adds more shades of Stampin Blends and some advanced die cutting techniques. It is the die cutting that really makes this the version for the more Avid crafter. The Stitched Nested Label Dies are so pretty and give you the chance to extend them. I go into full details of how in the video, but it means that I could have the height of label I wanted, but with a longer length.
To finish this version off, I added two ribbon trims, the lace trim tying the Organdy Striped Ribbon together. I also added some Champagne Rhinestones to the centre of the sequins, this really finishes the project off.
To see all the details, do take a look at the video. As ever, there are some extra hints and tips along the way, so it is well worth a look. If you have any questions, please leave me a comment either on this post, or on the video. I am always happy to answer any questions you have.
