Modern Heart and Label Me Bold for One Stamp At a Time. If you are joining me on the One Stamp At a Time Blog hop, welcome, I expect you have come from Dani Dziama’s site. If you are a regular visitor to my blog, then you will have guessed that today I am part of the One Stamp At a Time Blog Hop.
Today our Theme is Milestones, so you will probably see some Anniversary and Graduation cards along the way.I have gone for a simple Birthday card and gift box, because every Birthday is a milestone.
I have used both the Modern Heart (from the Annual Catalogue) and the Label Me Bold stamp sets for my projects. Neither of the projects is particularly complicated (OK, maybe the box is a little!) but they are still stunning! I know I should not be the one to say that, but I am so pleased with how they turned out. The main element on both is the Modern Heart, Heat Embossed in White, and then a rainbow of ink added. I tried using Watercolour paper first, but I was not totally happy with the result. I am thrilled with the Shimmery White version though. What do you think? the Watercolour heart is at the front in this picture.
The video shows exactly how I stamped and coloured the hearts, before adding all the Rhinestones to the one on the card. I added some additional rainbows to the front of the card, using one of the textured stamps in the Label Me Bold set. I coloured it with Stampin’ Write Markers and then simply stamped three generations of ink, starting in the middle.
Add the sentiment in Tuxedo Black, to reflect the Basic Black card base and mat onto a piece of Poppy Parade before adding to the front of the card, and the outside is done. I added a liner with the sentiment and small heart, both from the Modern Heart set, stamped in Poppy Parade to finish the project off.
The box was inspired by the sachet that our Vet uses for our cats’ tablets. I resized it using one of our Kraft Pillow Boxes for the basic measurements (see below for these). I wanted the box to reflect the card, but not completely, so only used the heart on Basic Black, I did add a few Rhinestones, but only a few. To see exactly how I made this, take a look at the video.
I hope that was helpful. I can see me using both the stamp sets lots more, I just hope they will both be in the new Annual Catalogue. Love your projects. Great video. I just might have to invest in a cheeseboard for my embossing!
