Facebook Live Tuesday 21st April 2020 – Replay. I am posting this a little later than usual, but with all the excitement of the Retiring List being published, what can I say!!
By pure coincidence, one of the stamp sets I used is on the Spring/Summer Mini 2020 Retiring List, so it is certainly worth a look. Label Me Bold is such a great stamp set. So easy to use, and in today’s video I used it to make a Rainbow Thank You Card, perfect for the current situation we are in.
Oh, and ‘YES’ I used the retiring 2018-20 InColors. If you want anything in any of the retiring InColors, please make sure you place your order NO, because they will sell out VERY soon if past years are anything to go by.
My next project uses the really pretty and oh so versatile Wildly Happy. This is perfect for old and young, male and female, so has to be one of my most versatile stamp sets. The project I made on my Facebook Live is very vintage in style, but my previous ones were very much more along crisp and clean end of the spectrum.
The real surprise with the colouring of the foxes, is that I used Calypso Coral (Dark) to get the correct, not quite Pumpkin Pie, colour. I tried all sorts of combinations before I found this one worked. I had assumed that Cajun Craze would be the right darker colour, but no. Who knew? I did include Cajun Craze in the project by using it for the card base and the greeting, again using Label Me Bold.
My final card was also for a male birthday and was one that I made at the request of one of the villagers. I have offered to make any greetings cards that local villagers need during the lock-down. Although it is possible to get greetings cards in the local supermarkets, they are beginning to run low on stocks, and, let’s face it, they are never going to be that amazing anyway.
In the Facebook Live I showed how to get additional colour on the tree and wood slice, as well as how to put the card together. Some of the supplies may be a bit of a surprise.
I have tried to list everything I used in the order in which I used it, but don’t hold me to that! The next Facebook Live will be tomorrow at 11am UK time, why not try and join me. The link to my Facebook Business page is HERE
