Capture The Good CASE from Tami White. I was thrilled to see a camera stamp in the Annual Catalogue. I love to scrapbook, so a camera image is always useful. This one is amazing in so many ways, but this cards introduced me to a totally different way to use it. I spotted a project that Tami White had shared on Pinterest. Tami helped design the stamp set as part of her reward for hitting US$2 million. Tami is a fantastic photographer, so it was not surprise that she chose to feature a camera in her set.
I have made one of these cards in each of the colour families (well, almost, but I will come to that). My first was in Subtle shades, it makes a perfect card for all kinds of occasion and for all sorts of people. All I did was use the camera to build a background, the heat embossed ‘Smile’ before punching it and then popping it up on a trimmed punched element. The final element was to stamp the hear shutter on the inside in Blushing Brider Ink, this helps to tie the inside to the outside.
The one I made on camera uses colours from the Brights. This is a much ‘happier’ card, full of life, but a very different mood. Do you prefer this to the Subtles? I’m not sure which of these I prefer.
Having used the Brights and Subtles, it was a natural transition to try the Neutrals. My main challenge with this was the lack of a Blue, so I added Night of Navy, which was a Regal until the last Colour Refresh, so it is not really cheating! Is it just me, or does this colour combination make a much more masculine card?
I hope that has shown that you can change the feel of a project simply by changing the colours you use. I do think that each of the cards is suitable for a different group of people, but they are all so cute. Why not take a look at the video to see some of the making of this card?
