Timeless Tropical Seriously the Best. Welcome back for another post from me today. This is one of my favourite posts too, it is my entry to Kylie Bertucci’s International Blog Highlights. If you have followed me for a little while, you may remember that I have entered this a couple of times and been stunned that on both occasions I was lucky enough to have sufficient votes to make it to the TOP 10. This is how I can qualify for the amazing prize; the chance to join a Blog Hop with Kylie and the other Top 10 Winners. If you would like to help me out again by voting for me, you can jump over to the post on Kylie’s website simply by clicking on the picture below.
My project for this month uses items from the Tropical Oasis Suite in the Spring/Summer Mini Catalogue. I haven’t used this suite enough, and must change this. The papers are simply amazing and great for both men and women, plus they have some amazing ‘solids’ on the B Side that are fantastic for all kinds of projects.
My project uses a couple of the stamps, which I have stamped in Early Espresso and then coloured with Stampin’ Blends and Die cut. I layered them over a piece of the Braided Burlap Trim and then added a fussy cut ‘Thanks’. This was heat embossed in Shimmer White Powder on Soft Suede. The second sentiment is also heat embossed, they are both layered on top of the die cut flower. These are from the Seriously The Best stamp set, which actually goes with one of the project kits in the mini catalogue, but is great on its own.
I added some fine tipped glue on the stigma of the flower to help it stand out, and tucked a Tropical Oasis Trinket under the edge of the flower. I am quite pleased with the final result and hope you like it too. It is not something I would generally think of making, but that is part of the joy of paper craft, you can just have a go at something a bit different and see how you get on. After all, whats the worst that will happen? You are only using small quantities of the products.
If you would like to help me get into the Top Ten Winners’ Hop again, I would be thrilled if you could vote for me. You can vote for up to 4 of the projects, so mine and 3 others??? Just click the image below to go to the post.
