Positive Thoughts for The Spot. Welcome to the new The Spot Challenge. This was not the intention when the theme was set up, but somehow the ‘Good Luck’ Theme seems so appropriate during these strange times.
Because I have taken a ‘Good Wishes’ interpretation of the theme, it seemed appropriate to select the Positive Thoughts Stamp Set and Nature’s Thoughts Dies. The dies are part of the Co-ordination Sale-a-Bration release, so will only be available until the end of the month. Or will they? Well, yes, in the short term they are only available for the next few days, but they will be coming back in the Annual Catalogue, if you can really wait that long.
I selected the Mosaic Mood Specialty Designer Series paper simply because I wanted to use a piece of Very Vanilla card that I embossed with the Subtle 3D Folder weeks ago, then didn’t use. That then led to a pretty, soft, but elegant project. Lots of vellum, lots of Gold Heat Embossing and some Gold Pearls, plus such a perfect message for these difficult times.
So what do you think? Do you like it? Do you agree that the sentiment is perfect for these times? I can see myself dropping this in to a neighbour if they are struggling with self-isolation or quarantine. I would hope it would help them to know that there is someone thinking of them.
To see how I made the card, remember you can always watch the video. In today’s you will hear all sorts of chatter about my husband, the lawn, as well as my usual scatter brain commentary. If you need cheering up, this might be exactly the mental medicine you are looking for. On a more serious note, I also talk about the importance of creativity during difficult times. It has been shown to be incredibly beneficial to keep people positive during difficult times.
