Monthly Video Collaboration – Spring. Welcome to another project for the Video Collaboration group.
Our theme this month is ‘Spring’, which would be much more relevant if there was even the slightest hint of a proper spring near me! We do have all the usual flowers coming out, but much later than usual. We could also do with some sunshine, rather than the continual rain we seem to be having. February 2020 was declared the wettest February since records began! But let’s look forward and hop that Spring brings some warmer and drier weather.
My card today uses some of the 2019-2021 InColors and the Welcome Easter stamp set from the Spring/Summer Mini Catalogue. I know the stamps appear to be for Easter projects, but those little critters are perfect for lots of other occasions too.
I have selected the image of the Lamb, as much as anything because we have lots of Lambing Events around us. For me these events are one of the first signs of Spring really starting. The image is just too cute, and so easy to colour with our Stampin’ Blends. I added some texture to the wool simply by using the colour lifter in small circles, it is the perfect way to get that ‘woolly’ look.
I used the new Label Me Lovely Punch to mount my critter, splitting the back version to add some additional depth. The ribbon is a great finishing touch and, by adding it in a zig-zag there is very little additional bulk, making postage less expensive too. Oh, and don’t you love the photo bombing lamb on the inside?
