Happy Easter Punch Art. This is not the project I planned to share today, but I spotted a project that Cindy Hennig, fellow Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator in Berlin, shared on one of our Stampin’ Up! Facebook Groups. I commend you to her website which you can find HERE.
How very cute is this card? It is so quick and easy to put together. Just 3 punches and a few scraps of Designer Series Paper and card. I chose to use the Subtles 6 x 6″ Paper Pack. I love these colours for Spring and Easter projects, they are so fresh. To make the eggs, simply punch the balloons twice, in two different colours. I have used So Saffron and Pool Party for my eggs. To turn the balloons into eggs you simply trim the little tag off the bottom and there you have it! Easy.
The bunnies are just as simple. All you need to do is punch each of the daisies from some Whisper White. Cut each daisy in half and then in quarters so you end up with 4 pieces in each size. These should each have two petals on, and a little of the centre of the daisy so you can add a tiny blob of glue on this and stick it to the back of your Balloon/Egg. After I made the first version I decided that the ears didn’t stand out from the rest of the card enough. I added some ink to the edge of them using a sponge dauber and the ink that matched the egg the bunny was hiding behind. I much prefer this. You could use Crumb Cake card if you would rather have wild rabbits behind your eggs.
Just for a bit of fun, I added a white Pompom to the bottom of each egg using a glue dot. I think it is a cute addition and makes it look like the bunny has forgotten to hide its tail as well as its ears. Unfortunately the Pompoms are currently on Backorder, so unlikely to be available before Easter, but if you have some already, it is a great fun addition to the card.
The final addition is to stamp your sentiment at the bottom of the card. I used the ‘Happy Easter’ from the Welcome Easter stamp set. This is great for colouring too, whether it is Easter or not those cute little animals are great to colour, whether you are a child, or simply a child at heart!
