This Little Piggy Believed She Could….So She Did! I am back today with a project for the Inspire Create Challenge Design Team. This time we have theme of Movement. This is an interesting theme because it could be interpreted as being a project that has movement in it (as mine has) or as a project that features ‘things’ that move. The Design Team has come up with inspiration for both of these interpretations.
As I mentioned, I have gone for an interactive card that results in ‘Movement’ and in this case, a Slider Card. It is a while since I made one of the these, but as soon as I had decided to interpret the Theme in this way, I knew instantly that I would use the flying pig from This Little Piggy.
This stamp image is perfect for an interactive card, and the sentiment is just so perfect. Dare I suggest the sentiment is perfect for all sorts of cards that empower women and girls.
The video shows exactly how to make the card and, frankly, trying to explain it in the written word is probably not the most effective way of passing the information on. All I would say is that it really is one of the easiest interactive cards, so is well worth a go. Colouring the Silver Edged Ribbon with a Stampin’ Blend has two great advantages for this type of card. First, it will blend in to the background, but it also causes the ribbon to stiffen, which is great too.
I think you can just about see the Wink of Stella I added to the wings of our flying pig. In real life it is a fantastic addition to the final project. One part of the project that I am really pleased with is the clouds. These were made using the Pretty Label Punch. I simply made sure that the bottom edge was trimmed straight. They really do make perfect clouds. I love looking at my punches to see if I can use them for more than the original purpose, so was thrilled when I realised that these are clouds just waiting to be made.
Now please hop over to the Inspire Create Challenge site and take a look at the projects the other Design Team Members have come up with. Once you have absorbed all the inspiration, please take part. We love to see lots of entries, just remember that you need to enter using your Full Name. Every challenge we find people who have not taken this rule into account, so we have to disregard their project.
