International Highlights Winners Blog Hop. Welcome back to another Project from me today. I am absolutely thrilled to be taking part in Kylie Bertucci’s International Highlights Winners Blog Hop again today. I am so grateful for everyone who voted for my project. THANK YOU ALL!
My project today is one that I have been looking forward to sharing for a while now. For as long as I can remember, I have enjoyed scrapbooking. As a child I would always have a scrapbook for my holidays, and this has continued into adult hood. I love to gift some of my scrapbooks too, especially my mini albums, and it is a mini album that I have to share with you today.
This mini album has a surprising amount of space, with each page being 3 x 3″, a perfect size for Poloroid Instax style prints, trimmed down. I have left some extra space in the box to allow for some pictures and memorabilia as well as some written thoughts. Both of the mini albums I have made for this post are destined to be used as Thank You gifts. I often give a mini album as a Thank You gift, sometimes with photos of the event we were invited to, other times blank for the recipient to fill.
Both versions would be perfect for recording a holiday. The Parisian Blossoms is ideal if you have had a weekend in Paris, but would work for a romantic weekend away too. The Timeless Tropics is great for any holiday to a hot location, but great for a trip to somewhere with palm trees!
These Mini albums are so simple to put together. If making the box is a step too far for you, then just the concertina with the front and back pages being decorated and a ribbon wrapped round to keep it together is a simple alternative. The concertina takes just one piece of 12 x 12″ Cardstock, so is really economical too. You need 26 pieces of Designer Series Paper whether you use the box or not. If you are using one of our standard 12 x 12 patterned papers, this is just 4 of each pattern, 2 showing the A side and 2 the B side, plus 2 extra pieces.
The video goes through the basic construction of the box and the concertina and includes lots of hints and tips. I think you will find it helpful if you are tempted to make this project. Trust me when I say it is NOT difficult!
