Sip Sip Hooray and Happy 2020!! As promised, I am here on New Year’s Day to wish you all a fantastic 2020! I am taking the opportunity to make a project with one of my favourite Stamp Set and Die Bundles, Sip Sip Hooray! I am a little surprised it was not on the Carry Over list, but it wasn’t, so I will just have to accept that. It is, however, still available and at the Bundle Price. So if, like me, you think this is a perfect set for all kinds of Celebration, then you have until tomorrow night to order yours.
I decided to use our Shimmery White Card so I could paint on it, and of course it also adds some extra Shimmer!! I used the Martini Glass and Lemon Stamps and Dies having first painted them with the Frost White Shimmer Ink. You may notice that I totally ignored the laws of gravity when it came to painting the liquid in the glasses, but I am comfortable with that.
Both the pink and yellow are simply the Frost White Ink mixed with a little ink from the lid of my Melon Mambo and Daffodil Delight Ink pads. Pick the colour up with an Aqua Painter and simple add it to your heat embossed images. The finished effect of Shimmer Ink over Shimmer card is stunning, although I am not sure it shows up well in the photos or on the video.
The Shimmery White mat has been die cut with the bubble die and heat embossed with ‘Hooray!’, also from the Sip Sip Hooray! bundle. For this inside of the card I used smooth Whisper White card and stamped a sentiment from the Greatest Part of Christmas Host Set in Melon Mambo, adding a lemon slice in Daffodil Delight, it is a great addition to the inside of the card.
The most time consuming part of this card is adding the adhesive to the back of the Shimmer White mat so that it lies flat and all the bubbles are in place. Other than that, the card is not too time consuming to put together. I hope you like it! Tomorrow I am planning on making something 3D. Not sure exactly what at the time of writing this post, but let’s just say ‘Not a Card’!
