Kylie Bertucci’s International Highlights Winners Blog Hop. If this is your first visit to my Blog, Welcome! Those of you following along the Blog Hop, will probably have joined me from Corine van Wijk in the Netherlands. If you are a returning visitor, Welcome back! I am thrilled to be taking part in the Highlights Winners Blog Hop and must start by thanking everyone who voted for me. Our theme for this Blog hop is ‘Thanks’, and as Kylie is the Queen of #LoveItChopIt I really had to grab some Designer Series Paper and use that as the main feature for this project.
I decided to use DSP from the Best Dressed Suite. When I first saw this Suite I was really not that sure about it, but now I am seriously loving working with it. I am not a great fan of the female ‘icons’ that have been included, like the lipstick and shoes, but the rest of the Suite is really pretty and very feminine.
What I particularly like about the papers is that you can simple switch the ones you use to create very different cards. Whether you are looking for something quite bold or want a more feminine feel, you can find both in the papers. My projects aim to show exactly this. One mostly features Petal Pink, the other has more of the bold colours, such as Blackberry Bliss and Pretty Peacock. The layout is identical, all I have changed is the paper, ribbon and the ink colour. The gems both come from the Noble Peacock pack, so this helps reduce the supplies needed.
I hope you will agree that the two cards are quite different. Both work, but in different ways. Oh, and the sentiment and die both come from the So Sentimental Bundle. This is a great Bundle as it covers so many occasions AND has a variety of dies, all perfect for the sentiments and for layering on top of each other.
In the coming weeks I am hoping to have more reasons to use the Best Dressed Suite of products. I love the bag dies in particular; they can be used for a variety of styles of bag, so I may have to make lots and then write a post about the different styles and how versatile they are. If you want to see how I made today’s project, please click on the YouTube video below and then come back to continue the hop.
Thank you again for joining me today, before you leave, why not subscribe to my Blog and YouTube channel so you can see what else I get up to? Once you have done that, you will need to click the link to go all the way to Australia and Sue Allen.
