Country Club Golf Ball Box. Well this was not the project I had planned for today, but I just had to change the plan. My husband and I went to our local Garden Centre earlier in the week. He was buying seed potatoes and seeds, I was hoping to pick up some new Christmas Tree Lights in the sale. Unfortunately, the lights were not in the sale, so I just had a look at was and found a box of Lindt Chocolate Golf Balls. They were heavily reduced, so I just had to buy them to make a project (or two!!) using the new Country Club Suite.
Even in the sale, these chocolate golf balls were not what I would call ‘inexpensive’, so I thought that the first project I make with them should be for just one of them. Apart from anything else, they look far too large to eat at one sitting. I know I can’t eat chocolate, so may not understand the appropriate portion control, but they are really solid and have about 160 Calories EACH!
So one in a box it was. It was not too hard to work out the size this needed to be because they were already in a box, so I simply had to make it a small square the same size as the 2 smaller measurements on the packaging. You will find all the measurements further down the post, as usual.
I selected the paper that has Golf Balls and Tees on it and then picked out two of the less dominant colours for my two examples. So Crushed Curry and Poppy Parade it was. I then added Night of Navy and Poppy Parade Twine from the Combo pack. The tag uses matching card punched using the Tailored Tag Punch from the Annual Catalogue. I trimmed one of them down, just by hand, and added the Golf Bag Icon from one of the patterns of Paper, which is a very similar shape.
I hope you enjoy this project. According to a Google Search, the chocolates are the same size as a real golf ball, so this could be used for one of those too if you can’t find the Lindt ones. I have checked and if you really want them, they are available on Amazon in the UK!
