Customer Thank You Cards – November. This truly is one of my favourite times of each month. Making some cards to send to customers who chose to shop with me each month gives me such a buzz. This month is no exception for a few reasons.
Firstly, because I went to OnStage in Dortmund, I got to order from the new Spring/Summer Mini Catalogue earlier than Demonstrators who chose not to go. This means that I can use brand new products to show case some of them to my customers. One of my absolute favourite Suites in the new Catalogue is the Peaceful Poppies. It is bright and sunny, so it was an easy pick for me to use stamp sets from the suite.
I wanted to try to match the vibrancy of the Designer Series Paper, so I decided it was time to get inky. This is such a simple technique to have a go at. All you need is a slick surface that you can wipe clean (I use an oven liner sheet), then just swipe ink pads across it and spritz with water. I started by using Mango Melody, then Poppy Parade and Rich Razzleberry, working from light to dark means you won’t damage your ink pads.
Once you spritz with water (and you do need a reasonable amount) you will see the magic start as the colours start to merge together. Just drop a piece of Shimmery White Card into the pool of ink, press it down. When you pick the card up you will see the true magic. This is a real WOW moment as you see the unique background you have created. You will find that there is still ink on your mat, so drop another piece of card in it. You will probably need to move it around a bit more, but it will still be fabulous. No two backgrounds will be the same and that is part of the fun!
Once the background was dry, I stamped the cluster of Poppies in Memento Tuxedo Black. I used the Stamparatus so I could stamp a few times to get a really dark image. I used the partner stamp set, Peaceful Moments, for the sentiment. This stamp set has a great selection of sentiments, so it is great for all occasions. I used Memento Tuxedo Black again, stamping on an off cut of Shimmery White Card. The card was then ready to put together. I simply layered all the pieces up. Shimmery White on to a Mango Melody mat, then popped it up on a Poppy Parade card base. I also stamped the envelope to showcase another stamp.
Most of the products I used are available now, but the stamp sets are currently only available to Demonstrators, or in a Starter Kit. If you can wait until 3rd January 2020, you can order yours at my Online Store. If you have ordered from me in the past year, I will be sending you the new Catalogues, and some little goodies (including some Customer only OFFERS – and did I mention Prize Patrol?!). Keep your eyes peeled for your package arriving very soon!
