White and Gold Peaceful Boughs

White and Gold Peaceful Boughs. Am I allowed to start this by saying I LOVE this card! I keep seeing White on White cards on Pinterest and must have saved dozens, so I thought it was about time I made one myself. Rather than stick with just white, decided to lift the card with a few touches of Gold.

White and Gold Peaceful Boughs

The main elements are the die cut layers. Three layers of each of the four pieces, simply die cut in Whisper White and glued together. While they were drying fully, I heat embossed the sentiment in Gold Embossing Powder, then ‘gutted’ a piece of Gold Foil card to mount the white mat on.

Before I layered the mats, I adhered the layered die cuts, making sure that a few areas overhung the edge of the white mat. Once these were in place I added the white mat to the gold and then trimmed away and of the dies that over hung the Gold. Allowing the white die cuts to overhang onto the gold makes everything flow better and look more intentional.

My final touches were to add a small bow, using the beautiful Gold Shimmer Ribbon and Glitter Dots, both from the Christmastime is Here Suite. Just these small touches make such  difference to the card.

As I said at the beginning, I love the finished card. It does take some time to do all the die cutting and gluing the layers together, but I really think it is worth the effort.
