#SimpleStamping Saturday Back on Your Feet. Yes, it is Saturday again and so I have another #SimpleStamping Saturday project for you. Today I am using the Back on Your Feet stamp set, specifically because one of the villagers had a bad fall a few nights ago, seriously injuring his back. I believe he will be back home, with help, this weekend, so propose dropping one of the cards in when I am back from OnStage tomorrow. The Back on Your Feet stamp set is perfect for anyone who is feeling under the weather, whatever age.
My #SimpleStamping version uses a Whisper White Notecard and Envelope. I stamped the turtle in Tuxedo Black Ink before colouring it with Watercolour Pencils. I love how easy these are to use. You can get some great effects with them if you pair them with one of the Blender Pens, as I have here. The sentiment is added just to the side and then I stamped the envelope with the head of the turtle and the ‘OUCH!’ sentiment.
My next version adds some punched and A4 card stock, as well as some Gold Glimmer card. I wanted to add a bit of bling to the card, so chose to punch the stamped image using the 2″ Circle Punch and mounting it on a piece of the Gold Glimmer, punched with the Starburst Punch. For a bit of fun, I added one of the Googly Eyes from the Monster Bash Suite. They are perfect for this stamp set.
My final version swapped out the punches for the Layering Circle Dies and Watercolour Pencils for Blends. I added some texture to the Old Olive mat by stamping with Versamark ink and heat embossing with Gold Embossing Powder. For a bit more of a finished look I added some of the Crumb Cake Ribbon from the Come To Gather Ribbon Combo. I kept the Googly Eye because it is such fun. Why shouldn’t an adult have a card with a Googly Eye on it??
So, as ever, I need you to let me know which card you like best. Would you make any of them? Which, and Why? Remember you can watch me make the #SimpleStamping version by clicking on the video below.
