Global Monthly Video Collaboration – Wrapped in Plaid Gift Wrap and Craft Fair Make. Yes, time for another trip around the world, but this time on YouTube. If you like to see lots of video tutorials then this is going to be for you. This month we are all using the Wrapped in Plaid Suite, but many of the projects could be used with whatever you have in your stash.
I have another project that you could have on your stall at a Craft Fair, or you could simply use it to decorate your own Christmas parcels. That said, change the papers and you could use it for any time of year. So, what is it? It is a Gift Bow, but not a simple ‘tie your ribbon in a bow’, this is one of those wonderful full bows that you buy to stick on your parcel. The benefit of making your own is that you can make sure they fully coordinate with your gift wrapping, and you can use your scraps to make them.
I need to be clear though, these do take a little while to make, but only because you have to let the glue dry. I did try using Tear and Tape and Glue Dots, but they both added a lot of bulk, so were not a great alternative. These are certainly items you could make while watching TV. Once you have the basic principle in mind, they are very simple to make and I could see making more for my own Christmas gift needs.
I have taken a few ‘step by step’ pictures that I hope will help you, but this is definitely one where the video will help. Oh, I did make a tag to go with the bow. This uses the Perfectly Plaid Stamp Set and Punch (order as a Bundle to save 10% on the total cost) and is a great final addition to the parcel.
All the quantities and measurements are further down this post, so why not take a look and then have a go?
