Stamp n Hop – Country Home – Case Your Own Card. As I write this post I am waiting to hear if I am too late to take part in the Stamp n Hop blog hop. I am going to assume that I am OK to take part, and I will certainly link to the hop so you can see the other projects. So, welcome to the Stamp n Hop Blog Hop for October. I hope you enjoy all the projects that are being shared today. You may have joined me from Sandra Roberts, who is also in the UK.
As you may have guessed, the idea is to take a card we have already made and to use that as inspiration for our post today. I chose one I made in December last year as my inspiration, and it was another #Simplestamping Saturday project. Can you see the resemblance?
I chose to limit my colour palette to just the latest InColors. For newer crafters limiting the colours you use can really help stretch your craft stash. If you limit your purchases to products that include your chosen colour scheme, you will be able to get a wider range of products, rather than only a few in ALL the colours. This means that you are able to try out lots more techniques and see which types of product you like to work with best. Then, as you are able to add to your stash, you know where to spend your money.
My problem is that I love ALL our products, so NEED everything. Of course, because I am a Stampin’ Up! Demo, I get all my products at a discount, so that helps to make my crafty budget go a lot further. Anyway, I made my #simplestamping version using just a note card and the InColor markers, oh and some Tuxedo Black Ink. I stamped on the envelope too, because that is one of the hallmarks of #simplestamping Saturday!
For my stepped up version I simply added the InColor cardstock and Designer Series Paper. I fussy cut the images and added these with Dimensionals. The finishing touch was a little Wink of Stella on the label. Just that tiny amount of glitter can make a real difference.
My final version exchanges Stampin’ Blends for the Stampin’ Write Markers and has the addition of some ribbon and faceted gems. Just those few additional products can make such a difference to the final projects.
