Perennial Essence Paper Has Two Sides AND We Have an ANNUAL Catalogue!!! I know!! Who knew either of these things!!! I have suddenly had this realisation that as soon as the Autumn/Winter Catalogue has been launched, we forget that we have such an amazing Annual Catalogue with over 200 pages!! After yesterday’s project I thought it was worth spending a little time revisiting this awesome publication. I intend to have a smattering of Annual Products over the next few weeks, just to remind everyone that they are there (ad I include myself in that!)
The other realisation yesterday was that quite a few of the Annual Designer Series Papers have a real mix of styles and feels, simply by turning one design over. I thought I would try that again today, so pulled Perennial Essence out and took a look. I selected this because I have used it for cards for men before, so knew there were some great, more masculine, alternatives. Bingo, I found the piece I wanted.
My first card is the feminine, ethereal version, and is really pretty, as well as being really simple to put together. I added the Perennial Essence Vellum into the mix, it is a great way to add a layer without it feeling ‘heavy’. I used Calypso Coral for my Card Base and the ink for the sentiment, with Petal Pink vellum and ribbon added to enhance the ethereal feel. 2 punches finished the card off in minutes. A great project for a quick card make.
My second card has a more masculine feel to it and by picking out the Balmy Blue, Old Olive and Mossy Meadow elements I tried to reinforce this feeling. The ribbon is the Old Olive and Pretty Peacock Reversible Ribbon from the Noble Peacock Suite. It is perfect for this project.
So there you have it, two cards, one sheet of Designer Series Paper and the same layout. Changed simply by turning the paper over and using the more masculine colours. Even the sentiment is the same on both cards.
