Freaky Friday Over for Another Year!! Really Easy Box and Tag. I am almost sad that my Halloween projects have come to an end, but if you want to order any products and get them in time for Halloween, you really need to get a wiggle on. Because of this, I really must stop sharing any more Halloween Projects. But there is time for just one more, and I will probably share some projects using Halloween products in a non-Halloween way.
Today’s project is a really easy Gift Box and Tag combo. The first is a Halloween project, using Monster Bash Designer Series Paper and the Tags Tags Tags Bundle. The base of the box uses Pumpkin Pie card, but the lid is Designer Series Paper. Because of this, I chose one of the patterns that does not have a right way up, and of course it had to be the cobwebs. The finished box is 4 x 4 x 2″ and can be cut from a sheet of A4 or Letter Card, so no need to get any 12 x 12″ card. The sides of the lid are reinforced, so this is a very substantial box. In today’s video I show you just how easy this box is to make, it is a little fiddly, but that is not the same thing.
I wrapped the box with the Scallop Edged Ribbon from the Monster Bash Suite, it is a great addition, particularly as it contrasts so well against the Pumpkin Pie. A simple tag, tied on with the thread from the Come To Gather Suite, and the parcel is ready to be filled and gifted. Which brings us to the Christmas version. Both boxes use my ‘never fails’ way of ensuring you get a box base and lid that fit together PERFECTLY, every time. Really easy and not a shim or a guess in sight.
The Toile Tidings Designer Series Paper is so classic, and what is great is that you get the same design on each side, you just get to choose if you want to feature the Real Red or the Garden Green. As you can see, I chose Real Red and used the Ruched Ribbon to finish it off. Because this ribbon is so wide, I only tied it round once so you can still see the pattern on the paper. Seeing the Real Red Card, Patterned Paper, Ribbon and then the ink and Glitter Dots on the tag, shows just how easy it is to get coordinating products in the same colour. Red is a notoriously difficult colour to match, so if Stampin’ Up! can do that, we can match any of our colours.
I made the gift tag for the Christmas Box from the same Tags Tags Tags Bundle. There are three tags each for Halloween, Christmas and Valentine’s Day. What is fantastic is that, once you have stamped your three tags in one go, you can die cut them in one go too. Because the Toile Tidings paper is on Very Vanilla, I chose to use our Linen Thread to attach the tag to the ribbon.
While I remember, I will be later posting tomorrow as I am taking part in a blog hop. It will still be #Simplestamping Saturday, but with a twist.
