Cup of Christmas Cheer for Inspire Create Challenge 53. OK, so I am going to be very honest here. I nearly forgot that I needed to make a project for the new Inspire Create Challenge! I know, dreadful of me. No excuse, just lots of reasons. But I remembered just in time so here we go. This time is a Sketch Challenge and a really great one, with so many possibilities. This is definitely one to have a go at.
This is the sketch (below), as you can see it really does allow a lot of freedom for your project. If you click on image it will link you to the challenge post over on the Inspire Create Challenges site. There are some amazing projects to look at, so do visit and then take part.
Back to my project. I am using one of the techniques I shared with you on this week’s Top Tip Tuesday. The Glimmer Paper on either side of my projects is only a tiny strip, which means I can use the rest for other projects. A real Win, Win.
The Cup of Christmas stamps and matching Cup of Cheer dies are amazing and I think will be useful all year round. I don’t see a mug as only being for Christmas, I can see it being used for a Get Well card, a Pumpkin Spice Latte Time card, all sorts.
I paired the stamps with the Let it Snow Specialty Paper. Do you every use the B side of your papers, I use them a lot, after all, it is there for a reason, so I give you permission to use ALL your B side patterns, so many of the Autumn/Winter Catalogue ones are fantastic for projects that are nothing to do with Autumn/Winter.
Did you spot that I used the Shimmery White Embossing powder for the sentiment? This and the black version are in the Annual Catalogue – you remember that, don’t you? I do fee that at this time of year in particular, we forget that we have an amazing Annual Catalogue as well as the Autumn/Winter one.
To tie back to the Coastal Cabana, I used some of the Glitter Enamel Dots from the Annual Catalogue on the punched sentiment. They add another bit of subtle glitter as well as tying the colours together. There are some Garden Green and Real Red Glitter Dots in the Autumn/Winter Catalogue and there are some gold ones coming in November!!
I really hope you enjoyed your visit today. Please have a go at the Challenge, you have almost 2 weeks to get your project done and added to the Challenge list on the Inspire Create Challenge site.
