#SimpleStamping Saturday Meets Peaceful Boughs. I know I say this every week, but not only am I amazed that we are another week on, but this is also one of my favourite #SimpleStamping Saturday projects. I am writing this post almost 2 weeks before you get to see it, so that would explain the time flying, but I really am pleased with how the project turned out.
The Quick and Simple project starts with a Whisper White Note Card and envelope and just two ink pads again. This week the inks are Soft Sea Foam and Crumb Cake. The stamping is pretty simple, although, because I am stamping over the edges and the fold of the card, you will want to mask the back of the Note Card with a piece of scrap paper to protect it. The top left stamping is all done in 1st generation ink. The bough in the bottom right corner is 2nd generation Soft Sea Foam with full strength Crumb Cake for the sentiment. The envelope is a mix of 1st and 2nd generation stamping, but because you are stamping over the edges, please remember to re-ink your stamp and then stamp off for 2nd generation. This will avoid any unsightly lines in your stamping.
The Casual and Avid version add full sheets of card, but the layout is identical. Both have some added Ice Stampin’ Glitter and Heat Embossing. In the Casual version I used Delicata Celestial Copper ink for the heat embossing (just to keep the supply list down!), it is a pigment ink so can be used for heat embossing. But, I wanted to use it as a paint as well. As it is water-based, you can pick some up with an Aqua Painter to add a touch of copper to your project, as I did on the fir cones.
Take a look at the video for a fuller explanation of how I made the Casual and Avid versions. They do involve more techniques and products, but the Casual version in particular is a good project to have a look at if you want to push yourself a little.
As ever, I have listed the products in the order I introduce them, which means that I have included the stamp set twice, once on its own, and once as a Bundle.
