#SimpleStamping Saturday meets Nature’s Beauty. First up. Have you found this stamp set in the new Autumn/Winter Catalogue?? It may have passed you by as it is right at the back of the catalogue. It really is beautiful. I can see myself making so many projects with this set.
As ever on a #SimpleStamping Saturday, I am bringing you 3 projects. They are all basically the same and use very similar products, it is just the number that is different. Each project introduces extra techniques along with the products, taking it from Quick and Simple to more complex and time consuming. I really enjoy coming up with these projects. When I decided to turn my paper-craft hobby into a business, I wanted to be able to show people that you can make a really amazing project with very little, but that you can also do more as you develop more skills and acquire more products. #SimpleStamping Saturday is one of the ways I can show how this works.
My first project today uses just 3 products. Seriously, that is all and the total cost would be just £33.50, and you could make 20 cards for that before you run out of Note Cards and Envelops. I accept that this does not include the cost of Acrylic Blocks, but you may already have some of those. So, what are these products? Well I have already mentioned Note Cards and Envelopes, this time in Very Vanilla, but the only other products you need are a Soft Suede Ink Pad and the Stamp Set. Isn’t the card beautiful? And, yes, I have stamped the front of the envelope, after all it is #SimpleStamping Saturday, so that is a given!
For my next project I have added the Neutrals Card Stock pack, plus some Very Vanilla card. I stamped the trees in the background and the deer on a scrap of card. I fussy cut the deer, moved the ink around with Blender Pen and, after working out where its feet would be, added some stamped grass for it to stand on. Then I added the deer to the front of the card with Dimensionals. The final touch was some Gold Metallic Pearls. Just beautiful!
The final version adds quite a lot more product. I have embossed the Very Vanilla Mat using the Woodland Embossing Folder, then I added a stamped piece at an angle. The deer is stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black and coloured with just 3 Blends. I die cut it with one of the Stitched Rectangles and used the same Rectangle and the next smallest to create three frames that are stuck together and added to the deer to form a frame. A die cut from the Beautiful Boughs set (die cut from the middle of the Crumb Cake Mat – shhh, don’t tell anyone!!), some Linen Thread and the same Gold Metallic Pearls finishes the card off.
Which one do you like most? I think they all have their place, but for me it would probably be the middle one, but then I like a bit of fussy cutting!
Did I mention that £2.50 from the stamp set is donated to a mental health organisation, so it is how Stampin’ Up! gives back. I love that.
