Piece of Cake for Inspire.Create.Challenges 052. Hello again, I am back with another project for the Inspire.Create.Challenges Design Team. Today we have a Colour Challenge which is about as far away from the Christmas and Halloween projects I have been working on recently as you can get. We have Coastal Cabana, Melon Mambo and Gorgeous Grape. And I have to say I struggled because my head was not in that bright colour space.
You may be aware that I am currently on holiday up in the Yorkshire Wolds, a part of the country I don’t know at all. Because of that, I wanted to get ahead with my projects and posting, so I have been really focused on Autumn/Winter projects. This was a real curve ball, but I think I have managed OK. Last week’s Top Tip Tuesday was all about adding glitter to projects, specifically for ice effects, so it was not a huge leap to think about adding Dazzling Diamonds to one of the Piece of Cake images, specifically the one with icing dripping down the side of the cake. So easy to just draw the drips in with the Fine-tip Glue Pen and then add some Dazzling Diamonds to get this wonderful sparkling effect.
If you take a look at today’s video you will see, towards the end, that I realise there is a slight problem with the first card I made. I would hasten to add I have sorted that out for the photos, but I was just no concentrating when I put the card together!!!
The Designer Series Paper is from the Follow You Art pack and is perfect for the background to this card. I love that some of our papers are simply one colour, but with a great texture. These can be perfect foils to some busy projects.
