Friend Like You Wildflower Meadow. I know everyone will probably think this is the wrong time of year for a Wild Flower Meadow, but round where we live we do still have some. They are being left for a few weeks to allow the flowers to spread their seeds, ready for next year. Then they will be cut for winter animal feed, so I understand anyway. These are the types of event that I was totally oblivious to before we moved to the country.
I have used both stamps and dies from the Friend Like You Bundle (buying the Bundle saves you 10% on BOTH items, so is a great money saver!) Because I wanted the result to be very soft and dreamy, I chose to use Very Vanilla and inks from the Subtles Colour Family. I started by stamping the grasses in Pear Pizzazz ink, both first and second generation ink. I then added the flowers in Blushing Bride and So Saffron. Again I used both first and second generation ink. The final addition to the background was dragonflies in Soft Sea Foam.
I die cut the Bulrush Edge Die in the So Saffron and Old Olive vellum from the Perennial Essence Suite. So the green was not too overpowering, I used the back of the sheet, which is much lighter. This also meant that I had the Bulrushes going in both directions. I added these at the bottom of the Very Vanilla background piece and matted everything on a So Saffron Mat. The marks left by the adhesive were disguised by adding two pieces of Very Vanilla Lace.
The final touches were the Sentiment stamped in Pear Pizzazz on a strip of Very Vanilla and adhered to the top right of the card. Then I added some of the Soft Sea Foam Adhesive Backed Sequins from the Basics pack. Everything was added to a Pear Pizzazz Card Base with Dimensionals. So pretty.
