Ink. Stamp. Share August Blog Hop – Christmas Feels Like Frost. I am thrilled to be taking part in my very first Ink Stamp Share Blog Hop. Today we are sharing projects using products from the New Autumn/Winter Catalogue. The new catalogue ‘goes live’ on Wednesday, 4th September, so not long to wait now. If you are following the blog hop you will be joining me from Linda over in Colchester, so welcome to Oxfordshire and Old Stables Crafts.
I have chosen to focus on the Feels Like Frost Specialty Designer Series Paper. I have already ordered all the packs I am allowed to in the Pre-Order Period. It is truly stunning. Photo realistic on one side with silver foil and white patterns on the other. My absolute favourite side is the photo realistic side, so that is what I have featured in my Sampler today. I did add some stamping and die cutting using the Frosted Foliage Bundle and the new Shimmer White Embossing Powder. Oh, while I remember, if you love the Feels Like Frost Suite as much as I do, remember that you can get everything by using a single item number (#153474). Such a time saver and still give you the 10% Bundle discount on the stamps and dies!
I did not shoot a video of the making of this, so I will explain how I put it together. It is made to fit an IKEA Ribba Frame (23 x 23 cm). I cut the Night of Navy piece at 9 x 9″ (23 x 23 cm), I did ‘gut’ a piece from the middle and used it for the stamping and die cutting. The Seaside Spray and Smoky Slate mats are 8-1/8 x 8-1/8″ (20.5 x 20.5 cm) and 7-7/8 x 7-7/8″ (20 x 20 cm) respectively.
I cut the Feels Like Frost papers from some scraps I had left having made some cards, it was a great way to use some of them up. These are also cut in squares at 2-1/8″ (5.5 cm), with Silver Glimmer and Night of Navy cut at 2-1/4″ (5.75 cm) and 2-3/8″ (6 cm). Having adhered them I used a single layer of Dimensionals to adhere them to the Smoky Slate mat. The stamped and die cut piece is on a double layer of Dimensionals, although it probably need to be a triple layer!
Putting these samplers together is something I love to do, they are such a great way to show off lots of product in one place and are fantastic to have on hand to change your decor quickly to match the season.
I hope you enjoyed your visit today, now why not hit the ‘Next’ Button and hop down to Rochelle Laird-Smith in Australia. You will find the full list of those taking part under the ‘NEXT’ Button.
