Freaky Friday Boo to You!! Today’s project is really quick and easy to make, but great for mass production. I have used the Boo to You Stamp set from the new Autumn/Winter Catalogue. This is another set that I am loving for Halloween projects. The images are such fun, which is an odd thing to say about a Zombie, Werewolf and Monster!
I have used the 3 x 6″ Gusseted Bags from the Annual Catalogue. These are perfect for quick gift giving and can hold so many treats, what is up to you. They hold so much and all you need to do is add a quick topper to seal the open end. Which is exactly what I have done today.
I stamped the Boo To You images in Tuxedo Black Memento ink and fussy cut them out, before colouring the images in. This is where you can really let your imagination run riot. The Boo To You characters are not real creatures, so if you want the Zombie to have Pineapple Punch skin, as I did, there is no one to tell you that is wrong. So go to town with your colouring. You can use whatever medium you want for the colouring, but I used Stampin’ Blends. If you use any other colouring medium you will need to make sure you use the correct ink. If you are using anything that is water based, choose Stazon, rather than Memento.
The toppers were finished off with Pineapple Punch 2-1/4″ Circles and 3″ x 3″ Highland Heather, folded in the middle. I sandwiched the top of the bag between the Highland Heather and then stapled the whole piece so that the staples went through the gusset of the bag. Add the punched circle over the staples using Dimensionals, then add your creature to that, also with Dimensionals.
The finishing touch is to add a pair of Googly Eyes to the character. There are 100 in the pack, so lots of choice. You can either choose two the same, or for a bit more fun, why not add different sizes and colours. That is what I did for my Zombie. They are so easy to add, just a tiny drop of Multipurpose Liquid adhesive will do the job.
