Cute DinoRoar Tag Top Box – Not Just for Kids! OK, let’s just get this out there right at the top. I am not a huge fan of the Dinoroar Suite. I don’t have children, my niece is a grown woman, and I don’t have friends with children, so for me this was not going to be an obvious choice. BUT, I always get all of the Designer Series Papers in any Catalogue. I do have the benefit of getting a discount on all my Stampin’ Up! purchases, so that helps.
That said, I generally find that in any paper pack I normally find that I like one or other side of the vast majority of the papers. This is the case with the Dinoroar papers. So, when I came to working out this project, I instantly pulled this paper pack and found that there were some patterns that would be ideal for this. I wanted a smaller pattern, so looked at the B sides.
The project is a little punch heavy, but equally it shows that just how versatile these punches are. Many punches can be used in lots of ways. This project has three stamps, two of which I am using in a different ways.
The Everyday Label Punch is one of my ‘go to’ punches. I cut bits off it regularly, it is just so easy to make it a different shape and size. This time I used it to punch the mat for the sentiment. The sentiment is from, and uses the punch from, the Darling Label Punch Box, but I have stamped the sentiment twice and cut one of them up so that ‘Birthday’ can be ‘popped up’. The Everyday label Punch is the same shape as the Darling Label Punch, just longer. Easy, punch off the rest of the Everyday Label Punch!
The Delightful Tag Topper Punch is the star of this box. It forms the closure, which is a little different from many of the boxes you will have seen me make. I enjoyed this so much that I suspect I will be using it for future projects too. Keep coming back and see what I get up to.
