A Little Twinkle for an Heirloom and Wonderful Moment

A Little Twinkle for an Heirloom and Wonderful Moment. I really had no idea what I wanted to make for today’s post. I had pulled a couple of stamp sets in preparation for a Blog Hop I am doing soon, not quite sure which to use. Then I suddenly realised that I could use both for a project today. When you see the Blog Hop project it will feature neither of today’s sets, and you may be confused that I pulled these at all!

Little Twinkle Wonderful Moments with Heirloom Frames in Rococo Rose and Seaside Spray

I have not used the Heirloom Frames in a project yet, so thought I would incorporate those too. So I am now making a project that has 2 stamp sets and a die cut/3D embossing folder combo! There are moments when I wonder about my sanity! However, fortunately I soon realised that one of the sentiments from Little Twinkle fits perfectly in the Oval Heirloom Frame. I decided to use the Woven Threads Designer Series Paper, so chose Sahara Sand, which is one of the colours in the DSP. I stamped the sentiment in Versamark Ink, having used the Embossing Buddy first, then used White powder, before die cutting it with the largest Layering Oval Die.

The die cutting and embossing of the Heirloom frame was easier than I thought it would be. The key is to die cut first and then emboss. As I have a BigShot, I used the new blue embossing plate, which means there is no need to worry about extra shims. Liquid glue was my adhesive of choice for adding the sentiment to the centre of the frame.

It has been a while since I have done any paper piecing, but it seemed the right choice for the lady. It is a really effective technique if you have the right pattern on your paper. The Woven Threads paper is perfect for this. I decided to switch out the papers for the two cards, one with Rococo Rose as the main feature and one with Seaside Spray. Adding a few of the coordinating sequins was the finishing touch.

It’s good to see that you talk to your work also. At last I’m not the only one a little eccentric. “A Little Twinkle on a Heirloom And a Wonderful Moment.” I refer to when you say, I’ll paraphrase, move over please (to the opposite side).
