Stampers Showcase Blog Hop – On To Adventure Masculine Card. I am thrilled to be joining the Stampers Showcase Team. If you are following along on the hop, you will probably be joining me from Marita Dreissen in Germany.
There is a saying about ‘Timing being Everything’, and it was certainly the case for this hop. I heard that I was joining the Team on the same day that I was preparing my project for today. I had already selected to use the ‘On To Adventure‘ stamp set and was almost settled on using the golfer when I heard that, not only was I joining the Team, but that the theme was Masculine Cards! Timing is Everything!!
If this is the first time you have visited my blog, I am delighted to welcome you. As I mentioned, today’s project uses the ‘On to Adventure‘ stamp set. I bought this because I thought it looked a little lost in the catalogue, and wanted to give it some love ( you will see how much I love it if you look at my earlier post today, and some more in the coming days!). I used one of the Stitched Rectangle dies to cut the mat for my stamping. Using a slightly larger mat than you need, and using a Stitched feature, helps to draw the eye to the image. On To Adventure has four super cute images, perfect for the slightly older people in your life.
Having chosen my colour scheme for the Blends, I then thought about the background. I tired a few options before I remembered that the ‘Follow You Art‘ papers included a sheet of Coastal Cabana, which would be perfect. I wanted to include some elements of Poppy Parade, having used the Blend Combo, so used card for the larger mat and the heat embossed stamping. The flag end of the sentiment piece is ‘flagged’ using the Tailored Tag Punch; have you spotted that it is perfect for that?
Stamping on the inside of my cards is not something I often think about doing. I quite often wait until I know who is going to receive the card, and why. But, on this occasion I wanted to include a partially stamped image on the inside, just as a cute little extra. A few Epoxy Droplets to represent golf balls, seemed a fitting finishing element for the project. What do you think? I hope you like it and will go and find the On To Adventure Stamp Set and add it to your next order!. You will find a ‘Start to Finish’ Video over on my YouTube Channel, just click the image below, then come back to continue your way around the hop. I know you won’t be disappointed!
