#SimpleStamping Saturday – A Good Man. Welcome back to #SimpleStamping Saturday. Today we have a Birthday Card using one of my favourite, and one of the most useful, stamp sets from the Annual Catalogue.
We all have the challenge of making cards for the men in our lives, but what if they don’t have a hobby that can spark an idea for a card? Well, A Good Man is for you. I grant that there are two images that require your man to have children in his life, but there is also the relaxed man in the deckchair. This is PERFECT for all your summer birthdays for the ‘difficult to make for’ men in your life.
I chose this for my #SimpleStamping Saturday project because the simplicity of the image allows you to make a fantastic project with just two stamps, or to add extra products to step the card up, and up. The Quick and Simple version is just Stamps, Inks and a Notecard. Using Tuxedo Black, and letting it REALLY dry, means that you can add colour with your Stampin’ Write Markers to make the perfect little note card above.
Add some coloured, an extra stamp set and some more ink to add texture. This will give you all you need to step the card up. Adding the ribbon really makes the card look finished, but is such a small feature so it won’t make it look too fussy and feminine. The InColor Ribbons are perfect for this and can be added so easily Come back on Wednesday to see just how simple this is, with more from A Good Man.
Finally a version for the crafter who has more time and lots of products. I have added dies and a 3D Embossing Folder to this card, as well as a few Basic Sequins in Sahara Sand. These are great for adding to masculine projects because they have a matt finish; being self adhesive is just an added bonus!
