Perennial Essence Paper Front and Centre – Quick and Easy Card

Perennial Essence Paper Front and Centre – Quick and Easy Card. And I mean Quick and Easy. This is also a great way to stretch your Patterned Papers. It uses just one piece of the Perennial Essence Designer Series Paper and one piece of the coordinating Vellum. A card blank, a mat for the inside and a scrap of Whisper White. That’s it!

Perennial essence, petal pink, stitched rectangle dies, so saffron, die cuts, layers, #love it chop it, sequins, blueberry bushel

I cut the Vellum at my usual first sized mat and die cut the two smaller pieces from the middle. I cut a second size mat from the DSP and die cut the middle of that! This is when the Stitched Rectangle Dies really come into their own. You can do all the cutting for the smaller layers in one pass of your die cutting machine.

To layer the pieces up I just adhered the patterned paper to the vellum and then lined the smaller layers over the holes in the larger layers. The vellum is great for covering up any slight gaps. The sentiment is stamped in Blueberry Bushel on a scrap of white card before die cutting that too.

Once everything was layered up, I added a few of the Basic Sequins. These each have a glue dot on the back, so are super easy to add. No surprise that I added 3!

I also stamped the inside of the card, for once!!! In my sample I used second generation Calypso Coral, which is one of the colours in the DSP, but I did not like it, so on camera I used full strength Petal Pink. A So Saffron Centre to the flower was the final detail before I called the project ‘done’!

As I said, Quick and Easy. This would work with all of our DSPs, so why not give it a go with what you have in your stash. Or, if you would like to use the same paper as me, then remember to hop over to my store to order what you need. My store is open 24/7, so wherever I am, the store is always open!!!
