Take Your Pick for the Perfect Gift for a Beautiful Friendship. I have had a few requests recently to repeat the gift box I made to hold our Take Your Pick tool. I am happy to do this and have taken the opportunity to make it much brighter. But, before I start on how I made this, please bear in mind that it works on the understanding that you keep the plastic tray that comes with your tool. The box is sized to hold the tray, which the tool then sits in.

As our hydrangea is looking like it might come into flower any day now, in spite of the bad weather, I thought I would grab the Beautiful Friendship stamp set and some appropriate ink colours. As our rhododendron has made its spectacular, but short annual colour statement, I wanted to represent that in my colours too. Balmy Blue, Highland Heather, Granny Apple Green and Melon Mambo seemed to hit the mark.

The Beautiful Friendship stamps set is one of our amazing photopolymer Distinktive stamps, so it does all the work for you. The only tip I have for you is to not use an ink pad that is too juicy. If you find there is too much ink, just ‘push’ it to the sides with a bone folder or the back of a plastic spoon. I find that when you want to fill the whole of a piece of card, it is best to start with the largest stamps and move down in size until you have filled all the spaces. I stamped the sentiment on a scrap of Whisper White and punched it out with the Timeless Label Punch. Once I trimmed it down, I mounted it on coordinating card, also punched with the Timeless Label Punch. After tying a bow around the box using the Polka Dot Tulle, I attached the label using Dimensionals.

Which colourway do you prefer? I can’t make my mind up, but I know that I like them both. I think it will come down to the mood I am in at the time. Do let me know what you think. Just leave a comment below.
