#Simplestamping Saturday Good Morning Magnolia Blooms

#Simplestamping Saturday Good Morning Magnolia Blooms. Yes, another week really has gone by. In the UK we have even hit summer (not before time!) Assuming the weather forecast is correct, temperatures are about to hit the 30s. Of course this does mean that the flower I am going to feature, is not around anymore, but it is such a stunning flower, we should embrace it for as long as possible.

#Simplestamping Saturday Good Morning Magnolia Blooms Simple Projects

As ever, on #Simplestamping Saturday, we take one project and make a Quick/Simple card, step it up to a more Casual Card and then throw everything at it to make an Avid Card. It is one of my favourite times of the week too. I love showing how your craft supplies can expand, without spending a tone of money, as your ability and confidence grow. Today is no different.

#Simplestamping Saturday Good Morning Magnolia Blooms Casual and Avid

The Quick/Simple card uses items from the new Beginner Leaflet. This is a great resource as it includes some items that are exclusive to that publication, but also shows how to add a few more products as you expand into the main Annual Catalogue. I am concentrating on the Magnolia Blooms suite of products. These include some exclusive Memories & More card packs that include card blanks, envelopes and a mat layer. Simply add a stamped sentiment to one of the Memories & More cards, stick it to the card base and you are done.

For the more Casual Crafter I have introduced coloured card and the larger Good Morning Magnolia Stamp set. I fussy cut the floral image and coloured it with Blends, which really are my favourite colouring tool. A bit of Wink of Stella and a punched circle for the sentiment finished the card off perfectly.

Now for the Avid Card I actually did not add the dies. I chose to fussy cut again. Partly because I only wanted to use elements of the large floral image, but also because I wanted to use the smaller flower from the Magnolia Blooms set. As there is no die for the small floral, it made sense to fussy cut everything. An off set circle and a die cut word, plus some flicks of Frost White Shimmer Paint and a Black Pearl of two. Done. The black pearls are just basic pearls coloured with the Dark Black Blend marker. Take any marker to change your pearls or rhinestones to the perfect colour for your project. Don’t think markers are only for colouring images, they are so much more than that!

Hi Liz, loved the more simple version of the Magnolia Lane card, would have liked some info on how you used the blends to colour the flower. Any tips? Jill
