#Simplestamping Saturday – A Little Lace. In the Northern Hemisphere we have just hit the Summer Solstice. This is when the days are at their longest and the nights at their shortest. So how come the days are going by so quickly? It can’t be a whole week since the last #Simplestamping Saturday. That’s just not possible. Never mind that the weather is still dong a fantastic impression of March! But, it is Saturday, so it is #Simplestamping time.
In this series I take one stamp set and one layout. Starting with a quick and easy card, make 3 projects, stepping up the number of products and techniques each time. So, we go #Simplestamping, Casual Crafter, Avid/I have lots of ‘stuff’! And today I am using the ‘A Little Lace’ stamp set and Bundle (remember you save 10% if you use the Bundle code!)
My first card of the day is, as ever, one a Note Card. I have stamped the large image in Sahara Sand ink and simply added some colour with Watercolour Pencils. You can choose if you want to ‘move’ the pencil colour around with a Blender pen, or not; I did. The sentiment is added in Mint Macaron to add a little more colour. Adding the Mint Macaron also ties in to the Avid version that I was CASEing from the Catalogue. Oh, and don’t forget to stamp on the envelope!
The Next, Casual crafter, version uses the same ink, but I stamped 3 times and coloured with Blends. I also stamped on a scrap so I could fussy cut one of the flowers. This was added to the card just with a dab of glue, and then I added a Gold Faceted Gem to the centre. The sentiment is stamped in Mint Macaron again, but on a scrap. I punched the sentiment and a piece of Mint Macaron using the Timeless Label Punch. Both pieces have been resized so they are in proportion with the sentiment. Come back on Monday to see how I do that. A Baker’s twine bow finished the project off.
The final version is the ‘I have lots of stuff’ version. The stamping is the same as for the Casual version, but I have used very loose colouring with an Aqua Painter and ink from the ink pads. I used too much ink I think, but I still like it. The stamped layer has been distressed with some tearing of the card. This is then matted over a layer of the Lace die cut. The sentiment is the same as the casual version, just using the Stitched Rectangle dies in place of the stamp. If you watched my Top Tip this week, you will know how I resized the die cuts.

That’s it, all the projects completed. All the same, and all different. That is the joy of #Simplestamping Saturday, something for everyone.
