Pressed Petals Cut Apart Note Cards – Quick, Easy, Perfect! I know you are going to think that I always say this, but I LOVE the Pressed Petals Designer Series Papers. They actually look like pressed flower. Of course there is a good reason for that. The original artwork was photographs of pressed flowers that were then turned into these amazing paper designs. The papers are a lighter weight than our standard DSP, but that just means you get twice the number of sheets!
One of the designs is, what I would call a ‘cut apart sheet’. This just means that there are a number of smaller pieces that make up the whole sheet. Four of these are the basis for today’s cards. I added a sentiment from the ‘Love What You Do’ stamp set and kept everything simple by adding the same colour mat as the ink used for the sentiment. These sentiments were punched using the Timeless Label punch, such a pretty shape.
Adding ribbon worked for a couple of the designs, but for the other two I just added the sentiment on some dimensionals. But that ribbon! WOW! Have you seen the Rococo Rose Gathered Ribbon? It is like shot silk taffeta, so pretty!
Of course, Stampin’ Up! makes the whole process really easy because of their amazing colour coordination. All you need to do is read the colours from the back of the DSP pack and you know that if you stick with these, your project will be perfect. You see, I said today’s project would be ‘Quick, Easy and Perfect!’
I can see these being packaged up for a Gift for a friend or a Teacher’s gift. I am told Teacher’s gifts are a thing these days, so ‘Quick, Easy and Perfect!’ is what you need. Oh, and did I mention that for a change, these are on Very Vanilla card stock. I love that these have that slightly vintage feel to them. And so much easier than having to pick and press your own flowers.
DO you love these as much as me? Have a look at the video for more information on the cut apart sheet and to see the pieces I still have left to use. Oh, and come back tomorrow to see exactly what I have used them for. The post will be at a different time tomorrow as I am taking part in a Global Scrapbooking Blog Hop. There will be so much inspiration for you if you hop along. But for now, grab a cuppa and enjoy today’s video.
