Beautiful Friendship Quick and Easy Cards. If you read my post on Monday you will have seen me use the Beautiful Friendship in some really quite bright colours. Well, today I have a much more subtle project that uses tone on tone colours of Blushing Bride and Rococo Rose. These are definitely from the same colour stable, they go together so well. I added a contrasting colour by stamping the leaves in Garden Green. I don’t use this colour very often, but I think I must give it another look. It is perfect for this project.
I did actually do a little bit of research into the colours that Peonies tend to come in. For me this particular image is a Peony, but I know some people see it as a Rose. Either way, the colours I have chosen are very classic, particularly with the Garden Green for the leaves. Neither of these flowers have light leaves, so you can choose, is this a Peony or a Rose?
Having made the card in one version of the tone on tone, it made sense to make it the other way around too. I love doing this with my projects. I am always so surprised by the different result just be switching the dominant colour. The pearls are coloured with the Light Flirty Flamingo Blend, just to add that subtle finish.

Oh, and for once I have actually stamped the inside of my card! No, that’s wrong. I always stamp the inside of my card, but I generally wait until I am going to send it to someone. My handwriting is so poor, that if I add the mat before I write, I probably have to add a second layer over the top. I just find it easier to write the inside and then adhere it. Definitely safer at least!
Oh, and did you know that if you send me a handmade card, I will send you one in return? Where ever you are in the world I will be thrilled to send you a little bit of happiness in the post. You will find my address on the About Me page of this site. Please remember to include your address with your card so I know where I am sending mine.
