All New Daisy Lane Meets #SimpleStamping Saturday and FREE Stuff!! Seriously, how can it be Saturday already, that just isn’t possible! But the diary tells me it is, so it must be. I am actually planning on some gardening today, so the project I have chosen is quite appropriate. Daisy Lane is a new stamp set, and is one of the gifts that those of us who attended OnStage in April, were given. And guess what? It coordinates with the Daisy Punch! But it gets even better than that. There is a new Medium Daisy Punch coming in the new catalogue too, and you can Bundle it with the Daisy Lane stamp set to save 10%! Just brilliant!
So, as ever, #SimpleStamping Saturday takes one project and steps it from a simple Note Card and Envelope, through Casual and on to a project for a more Avid crafter. Today is no different.
The simple Note Card version uses some ‘stamping off’, but otherwise is fairly straightforward. The only tricky bit, as I prove in the video, is getting the Daisy head and the stalk to line up. I could use the Stamparatus, but I am keeping it simple, so that was not really an option. Oh well, people kindly tell me that one of the things they like about my videos is that I prove I am only human, and make mistakes, so this is one of those! I added a little Wink of Stella to the centre of the Daisy, just for a bit of fun.
The Casual version steps away from the Note Card and introduces card stock. I have also used the Daisy Punch to make a flower head from Daffodil Delight and Mango Melody card, simply layering them up and carefully curling the petals a little. The centre of the flower is a Gold Faceted Gem – more of that later.
Finally the more Avid version, which is a fun fold. This version would have included the Medium Daisy Punch, except it is not available for Demonstrators to order until 4th June, so I fussy cut the smaller Flower Head. I stamped and embossed both daisy flowers on vellum, two large and one small. For one of the larger ones and the smaller one, I used Versamark and Gold Embossing Powder. The other large flower I embossed using Clear embossing powder and Mango Melody Ink. Because I was stamping on vellum, the ink stays wet long enough to chuck some embossing powder on for coloured embossing. Love this technique! More of those pretty Faceted Gems too!
So, there you have it, another #SimpleStamping Saturday. I have to say that this has been one of my favourites so far. But I am guessing you want to know about the Free Stuff? Am I right? Ok, so, here’s the deal. Anyone who orders the Daisy Lane stamp set (either on its own or as part of the Daisy Lane Bundle) from me between 4th June (Go Live date) and 22nd July 2019 will receive a pack of Gold Faceted Gems as a Gift from me. These make the perfect centres for these flowers, so I want you to have the fun of using them. Just another way for me to say ‘Thank You’ to my wonderful customers. I will send these with your Thank You Gift, so one batch will go after the end of June and one after the end of July.
