A Good Man Father’s Day Card. This is an obvious choice for my Father’s Day week, but it is such a great stamp set. We all need at least one stamp set for the men in our lives, for me, A Good Man is it. It has no ‘theme’ so whether your man is into sports, fishing, gardening, or anything else, this works. It also means that it works for ALL the men in your life. One stamp set. lots of cards! Got to love it!!

My card is CASEd from the new Annual Catalogue, but I used the new Nested Label Stitched Dies an changed the Designer Series Paper. If you watch me regularly, you may remember that I told you that I think the new Perennial Essence DSP can work for men as well as women. I hope I can prove it with today’s project, because that is the paper I have chosen. On both versions of the card I ran the DSP through the Subtle Embossing Folder to make it look even more like fabric.

The image is stamped in Gray Granite and coloured with Blends. I know I have shared this before, but our Classic Ink works well with Blends as it is Water Based, so don’t limit yourself to black. If you want to use black, then Memento Tuxedo Black is the perfect choice. I mention in my video that there Gray Granite Blends are now available in the New Annual Catalogue, as are So Saffron and some of the new InColors. Yes, they are in my most recent order!! Oh, and sorry about the long list of Blends for this project. Just remember that they last for ages and are really affordable.

I added some ink to the edges of the die cuts to tie in with the colour of each of the mats. So, Old Olive on the Mossy Meadow card and Blueberry Bushel on the Blackberry Bliss card. The addition of the coloured mat just helps to make the cards look more ‘finished’.

Now, I have a confession, I have used retired mini paperclips on my card. These are from the Share What You Love Embellishment Kit that was available in the last catalogue, and as a Sale-a-Bration item, so many of you will have these. Add any small paperclip, if you don’t have the ones I used, or just leave it off and add the Linen Thread with a Glue Dot. I seriously love this stamp set, so if, like me, you need cards for lots of the men in your life I can highly recommend getting this one.
