#Simplestamping Saturday – Petal Palette. As it is Saturday, it means another #simplestamping project. One design, three ways. Simple/quick, Casual and Avid. And today we are using the fantastic, Petal Palette set.
The #simplestamping card could not be much easier, simply ink up the large floral in Powder Pink and stamp on the Note Card. With a Blender Pen, add a wash of Tranquil Tide ink to the leaves. I used Fresh Fig for the sentiment, but Tranquil Tide would be just as good. You need a dark ink to stand out from the floral. Add some stamping to the envelope. That’s it!
For the Casual card I used Powder Pink card and flicked Clear Wink of Stella over the base. While that dries, take a 2″ wide strip of Powder Pink and stamp in the matching ink, using the dots. Cut the strip to length using the Triple Banner Punch, and adhere to the card base. I inked up the floral stamp with Powder Pink ink and then added some Tranquil Tide ink with a sponge dauber. As this is a Casual project, I didn’t use the dies, but fussy cut the image out. Some punched leaves with the Leaf Punch, a strip of card stamped with the sentiment and I had all the pieces ready to assemble. I added some Copper Metallic Thread behind the floral and then adhered the leaves before adding the whole piece to the card with Dimensionals. A few sequins and a Frosted Flower finished this card off.
For the Avid version, I spritzed the card front with Champagne Mist Shimmer Paint. The banner was run through Petal Pair floral the embossing folder before being ‘flagged’. The floral stamping is the same as for the Casual card, but I die cut it and some of the leaves from the die set. I finished the card in the same way as the Casual card.
