#Simple Stamping Saturday – Amazing Life. if you follow me regularly you will know that this is one of my favourite times of the week. One design, three projects. Starting with a Quick and Simple Note Card, moving through a project aimed at a more Casual crafter and then finally one for the Avid crafter.
Today I am using the Amazing Life stamp set from the Spring/Summer catalogue. I would have put money on this one carrying over to the new Annual Catalogue, but I was wrong. The matching Rectangle Stitched dies are carrying over, but not the stamps. I just think this is such a fun set, and ideal for a new crafter, with the large sentiments and a few cute images to go with them, if you want.
My project uses just the largest stamp. On the #simplestamping version I stamped in Basic Grey Ink and then coloured in the ‘Happy’ and banner with Stampin’ Write Markers. I chose to use colours from the 2018-2020 InColor collection. I particularly wanted to use Pineapple Punch because it is such a bright colour. You can team this with any of the other colours for a really bright and fun card.
The Casual version introduces InColor Card, Blends and Ribbon. I used a masking technique to ink up the stamp for the banner on Pineapple Punch. This avoided inking up the top of the L in ‘Life’, so when I stamped on the card, I could simply ink in the missing line using a Basic Grey Stampin’ Write Marker before cutting out and mounting on Pineapple Punch. I coloured ‘Happy’ with the Call me Clover Blends Combo and then added some matching ribbon before mounting on matching card.
The Avid version pulls in the matching dies and some black heat embossing. I used the Embossing mats with the dies to get an embossed frame around the sentiment. The Pineapple Punch frame is cut using a couple of the dies too. Having the embossed frame as well as the coloured frame added additional depth to the finished project. I used the Light Call me Clover Blend for ‘Happy’ and finished off with Happiness Blooms Enamel Dots in Call me Clover.
Three bright and zingy projects adding additional product, techniques and time at each stage. Oh, and of course as this is #simplestamping Saturday, I stamped on the envelope for the Note Card too! Remember there are no dimensions provided on #simplestamping Saturday!
