Rooted in Nature CASE the Catalogue

17 May, 2019 by lizyuille Leave a Comment

17 May

Rooted in Nature CASE the Catalogue. We are coming to the end of our CASE the Catalogue Fortnight, just today and tomorrow to go. Today’s project is from page 144 of the retiring Annual Catalogue. It features the Rooted in Nature Bundle, which means that buying the stamps and dies together save you 10% on the combined cost. BUT this Bundle discount is only available until the 3rd June, so if you love this suite, get it NOW. It will be available in the new Annual Catalogue, but only as individual items, without the 10% saving.

Rooted in Nature

Back to the project. When I had planned this mini series, I thought I had some Nature’s Poem Designer Series Paper left. I was wrong, so rather than change my plan, I have just adapted my design. This is actually a really good thing as it meant that I could not just COPY the design, I actually had to CASE it.

The main item that needed paper was the top flag piece, so I created my own using the skeleton leaf stamps, this is such an easy way to create a great background with just a few products. I created the first mat using the Corrugated 3D Embossing Folder, spraying the cardstock before you run it through makes this easier, but bear in mind that you will loose width with the corrugation, so allow some extra and then trim down.

The rest of the card was pretty much a straight lift from the original design. I did include more of the small leaves round the wood slice than in the original, because I like the look of more. There isn’t a die for the wood slice stamp, but this is really easy to fussy cut, just watch the video to see just how easy it is. I did a ‘Top Tip Tuesday’ video on this a few weeks ago, you can find the post and video for that HERE.
